Here We Go Again
This time with our heroine. What will we find? Something entertaining hopefully. Don't worry. It'll be short.
Did you go see Inception again? I did. That's 3 times for me. And I'm not ashamed. I'm sure when I look back, I will feel very stupid that I gloated about watching Inception 3 times. Future me will blush and will want to destroy Past me. And I also admit that I cried at the same parts. Shut up! And Sir Floppy, The Prestige, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight will be next weekend's Nolan Marathon.
After watching Insomnia, which again is a very well crafted thriller, it got me thinking, 'what if someone else directed this film?' Imagine if Brian De Palma, Alan Parker, Martin Scorsese, or the guy that directed Catwoman got this project? Some of these fine directors would probably do a pretty good job (maybe not the Catwoman guy) but Christopher Nolan really does a wonderful job with integrating psychological themes into the story, building the tension, pacing the film and creeping the heck out of us in an elegant, non-gory way. I learn so much about storytelling by watching his films. It's prepping me for another comic series :)
This weekend, Inception came in first with $43.5 million and Salt came in second with $36.5 million. I wish I had that much in my savings account...I didn't see Salt so instead, I went straight to Movie Spoiler. Boy, what a movie...You can read it here if you like. Man, I was completely off about the story. If anybody watched it, please comment away down below or at Formspring.
If you haven't seen Let the Right One In, rent it at Blockbuster, Netflix, Redbox, or at your local DVD rental place. It is seriously good.
